My Fuud Cover

MyFuud is a marketplace built around how home cooks already work.

introduction

Across Lagos and cities like it, home cooks and migrant chefs sell meals to the people they already know. The trade is real, and it runs on WhatsApp and Instagram. MyFuud started there.

project details

Every platform that could scale a home cook's trade counted them as ineligible.

Cooks were already selling over WhatsApp and Instagram. Those channels hold at small volume and break past it, with no order management and no way for a new customer to find you twice. The platforms that fixed that asked for a standard menu, premises and a formal registration.

Solution

I designed for trust in the cook, not trust in a brand.

So onboarding is cut to what a cook needs to trade: a menu, availability, and how orders arrive. Nothing else blocks going live. Discovery became a guided suggestion, where you say how you feel, or let the front camera read it, and the list comes back short.

result

Home cooks can sell consistently, and buyers can find the same kitchen twice.

Onboarding friction stopped being the thing that blocked supply. A marketplace fails when one side is pushed through a workflow built for someone else, and trust here comes from clarity and context, not from ratings.

Every requirement you keep is a cook you lose.
